Born in 1970, Sino developed an early interest in graphic arts, which he went on to study. However, it was his love of drawing that led him to discover graffiti culture in 1986. He began working with letters, gradually establishing his signature in the form of a tag. In recent decades, he has become one of its most iconic figures.
Through the maquettes on display at La Manufacture, Sino continues to pursue a truly artistic practice, akin to an exploration of the foundations of writing and words, while celebrating his passion for urban murals on Parisian transport networks. Sino is constantly creating new lettering styles; his style is multifaceted, and he enjoys playing with shapes and colors, as well as techniques and materials.
