Bonus, whose real first name is Karim, is a French artist born in 1985 in Argenteuil, in the western suburbs of Paris. He discovered graffiti in the 1990s and took his first steps in the art world by creating tags in the western suburbs of Paris.

Practicing on walls and trains, tagging is a way for him to escape his everyday life while becoming intoxicated by the idea of leaving his mark wherever he goes. More than a mark or a trace, a signature: Bonus. The New York graffiti scene of the 1980s is far from the young artist’s only source of inspiration. Indeed, he has practiced boxing from a very young age, and the sport inspires a significant creative flow in him, developing a form of expression that oscillates between fragility and strength.

Fascinated by nature, its various elements nourish his imagination, and he incorporates olfactory and chromatic sensations into his artistic explorations, gradually enriching his style.
